Casa Azul is located in Mosteiros, a small fisher village in the island of São Miguel, Azores, and one of the most charismatic places on the island, popular for its black sandy beach, which lies just steps away from Casa Azul, and the natural pools carved in the lava rocks.

Within this inspiring atmosphere all year long, Casa Azul offers all amenities to allow you to fully enjoy a unique experience and adjusts to the needs of each visitor.

The space

Casa Azul is a fishermen’s house built in 1937, fully restructured and designed to ensure the greatest possible comfort for those who use it.

We have maintained the original structure and identity of the house but added modern comfort. Celebrating the uniqueness of the Azores, we have used materials typical of and sourced in the Azores. The lava stone and the typical warm wood of the Cryptomeria tree are the key elements in Casa Azul and ensure a you feel at home and connected with the island as soon as you cross the doorsteps.

Casa Azul offers you the best place for an amazing summer holiday, just next to the most beautiful local beach, walks in the nature, whale watching excursions or boat trips at sunset. In winter it guarantees comfort and peace while nature astounds with all its might in order for you to find the concentration and inspiration you are looking for to write your book, compose music, create your project, develop an idea or simply to rest your mind, relax and escape the anxieties of city life.
