Welcome to Matriz Sunset View a magnificent coastal apartment with breathtaking views overlooking the ocean. Enjoy the most spectacular nightly sunsets right from the comfort of your living room. You are steps away from Ribeira Grande’s famous pools and minutes from Areal de Santa Bárbara Beach, Monte Verde Beach and the historic center of Ribeira Grande. The apartment was thought through with every detail to provide a relaxing stay for lovers of nature, beaches and the sea.

The space

Matriz Sunset View is a spacious 168m sq apartment, newly renovated fully equipped, consisting of 3 spacious bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living and dining room and open plan kitchen, with heating and air conditioning.

The panoramic balcony is without a doubt the icing on the cake, facing the Atlantic Ocean and the imposing and beautiful north coast of the island, it invites you to have a meal in the light of a magnificent sunset, or enjoy a quiet relaxing early morning yoga sesion or regular physical exercise that is part of your routine on a suitable mat that is available for use.

If you are looking to enjoy the beach on your vacation, know that you can count on soft beach towels, chairs, mats, beach rackets , umbrellas and shelter from the wind. If you are passionate about nature walks and walking along the trails of our beautiful green island, then you will appreciate having access to full laundry room with a separate washer and dryer, ironing board, iron and clothes line in the event of getting a little more dirt on your clothes during the walks.

If you like to prepare your own meals, know that you have found the right accommodation, as the kitchen is fully equipped with all the utensils and appliances you will need. In addition, you will find a small grill, and stovetop on the balcony where you can fry or prepare your fish or grill some Lapas.

If what you need is a moment to unwind and just want some down time you can watch a movie as our (Guest) on Netflix or your favorite series on a Smart TV or enjoy a variety of games for fun moments with family or friends you'll find in the living room. In the house you will find all the amenities for an unforgettable vacation with family or friends

At your reception, you will always have a host waiting for you to answer any questions you may have about the apartment or the island, as well as some regional products provided that you can taste.

Other information to consider

Informamos que: Check-ins entre as 20h30 e as 22h30 têm uma taxa de 25€; check-ins após as 22h30 têm uma taxa de 35€. A mesma taxa de 35€ aplica-se a check-ins antes das 8h00 da manhã. Todas as taxas de check-in são cobradas no momento da chegada em numerário.

Gostaríamos de informar que, a partir de 1 de janeiro de 2025, entrou em vigor uma nova lei nos Açores que obriga a cobrança de uma taxa turística de 2€ por noite e por hóspede, durante as primeiras 3 noites de estadia. Esta cobrança será aplicada a todos os hóspedes, salvo nas situações de isenção previstas na legislação.

Isenções:
Estão isentos do pagamento da taxa os seguintes casos:
a) Hóspedes com idade inferior a 13 anos;
b) Hóspedes cuja estadia seja motivada pela obtenção de serviços médicos, pelos dias necessários ao tratamento, acrescidos de uma dormida, estendendo-se esta isenção a uma pessoa acompanhante do hóspede doente (mesmo que o acompanhante não pernoite no estabelecimento devido a motivos de saúde);
c) Hóspedes com incapacidade física igual ou superior a 60%;
d) Residentes nos Açores.

Documentação Necessária para Comprovação:
Para beneficiar da isenção, será necessário apresentar a documentação correspondente à situação, no momento do pagamento da taxa. Seguem os documentos exigidos:
a) Para hóspedes com menos de 13 anos: Cartão de cidadão ou passaporte;
b) Para hóspedes com estadia motivada por serviços médicos: Cópia do documento comprovativo da marcação ou prestação de serviços médicos, com indicação da data;
c) Para hóspedes com incapacidade superior a 60%: Documento que comprove a condição de incapacidade;
d) Para residentes nos Açores: Documento de identificação (cartão de cidadão, bilhete de identidade, atestado de residência ou comprovativo de morada).
